The Washouse Sculptures
2010 - 2019
These pieces were born of the philosophy ‘make use of what you can where you are’.
When Cath had to step away from her practice the washouse at the end of her garden became her temporary refuge for making art. This body of work was created out of necessity of expression from old pieces of junk, clay, paper, plaster, wood, drawing pins, wax, ceramics, and film that were lying around the house waiting to reach their full potential.
